Abstract Comprehensive measures are to be taken for the control of mine gas in fully mechanized coal faces. In addition to conventional mine gas controlling technologies, special technical measures also are to be taken which include in seam gas drainage, tail gate gas drainage, upper corner gas drainage, gas drainage from gate roads in the roof strata or by upper seam drainage bore holes.
