The detection and analysis methods for oxide film and passive film on tinplated steel sheet including the traditional chemical analysis, electrochemical analysis and modem surface analysis technologies such as X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS）, Auger electron spectroscopy （AES）, glow discharge spectrometry （GDS） and electronic probe micro-analysis （EPMA） were introduced.
