A Study of Semantic Competence and its Modules of the English-major Learner

语义能力是随着语义学的兴起和发展以及语言能力的提出而出现的一个概念,语义能力是语言能力的重要组成部分。本研究调查了英语专业大学生的语义能力,探讨其与语言能力的关系,分析其构成模块,发现学生语义能力的不足,并探讨相应的对策,以培养和提高他们的语义能力。

Semantic competence, which is an important part of language competence, is put foreword with the development of semantics and the arising of language competence. This study investigates the semantic competence of the English-major learner and explores the relation between semantic competence and language competence. The module of semantic competence is fully analyzed to find its weakness of learners and some suggestions are discussed to cultivate and develop their semantic competence.
