This paper attempts to interpret Who＇s Afraid of Virginia Woolf？ by applying Bakhtin＇s theory of Carnivalesque,focusing on three aspects of Carnivalesque,namely,square culture of Carnivalesque,duality of Carnivalesque and laugh in Carnivalesque.By analyzing this drama from Carnivalesque point of view,the paper discovers the profound influence of the carnival culture on literary works.Therefore,the paper provides a new vision for understanding and constructing the new meanings of the drama.
