Starch metabolism in patients with hyperthyroidism studied with 13 CO 2 breath test

摘要 目的用13CO2淀粉呼气试验的方法,定量测定甲状腺机能亢进症(甲亢)病人的淀粉代谢。方法用13CO2玉米淀粉呼气试验测定37例甲亢患者淀粉代谢,并与21例健康志愿者(对照组)相比较。结果甲亢患者口服100g玉米淀粉后,13CO2的排出量在(181±30)分达到高峰,显著早于对照组〔(205±39)分,P<0.05〕,但13CO2峰值两组无显著性差异(P>0.05)。13CO2累积排出量30分、60分、90分时均非常显著高于对照组(P<0.01),120分、150分及180分时仍显著高于对照组(P<0.05),但210分至360分的13CO2累积排出量较对照组无统计学差异(P>0.05)。结论甲亢患者淀粉的代谢在180分钟前显著加快,峰值与正常对照无差异但时间明显提前,6小时淀粉总代谢两组间无明显差异。 Objective Tostudythestarchmetabolisminhyperthyroidismpatientswith noninvasive 13 CO 2 breath test. Methods Samples of 13 CO 2 expiration were collected every 30 min over a period of 6hr after starch intake from 37 hyperthyroidism patients and were compared with those from 21 healthy volunteers. Results Afteringestionof 100g ofcornstarch,bothpeaktime Tmax:(181±30)min andcumulative 13 CO 2 expiration between 0~180min in hyperthyroidism patients were significantly faster and higher than those of normal controls (P<0.05), but neither the cumulative 13 CO 2 expiration between 210~360min nor the peak values (C max ) were statistically different between these 2 groups (P>0.05). Conclusion This study indicates that starch metabolism during 0~180min in patients with hyperthyroidism is faster than that of healthy control. The 13 CO 2 starch breath test is an effective test in quantitative evaluation of starch metabolism in vivo.
