Research progress on pharmacological activities of cryptotanshinone

隐丹参酮作为活血化瘀药丹参脂溶性成分中的代表性成分,其独特的化学结构和药动学特性使其逐渐成为人们关注的对象,近年来研究证实其在心血管疾病、抗肿瘤、抗菌消炎、代谢紊乱性疾病及神经退行性疾病等方面显示出很好的前景,但其作用机制研究及应用研究还存在着不足,尚需要更深入地从分子机制,并结合药效和中医活血化瘀理论进行更深层次的探索。

Considerable attention has been focused on cryptotanshinone, a representative ingredient of fat-soluble components in salvia miltiorrhiza because of its special chemical structure and pharmacokinetic characteristics. Recent studies have confirmed that cryptotanshinone has great prospects in the treatment of cardiovascular disease, tumor, metabolic disorders and so on, but it also has the deficients in mechanism and application studies. Further investigation should be paid in molecular mechanism associated with huoxuehuayu theory in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
