Analysis on Historical Evolution and Basic Characteristics of Modern Western Philosophy

现代西方哲学是西方传统哲学的继续和发展。古希腊哲学、中世纪的经院哲学、17～18世纪的理性论和经验论,以及德国古典哲学等等,都对现代西方哲学的不同流派发生了重大影响。19世纪中叶以来,西方资本主义国家在自然科学和技术科学方面都得到了巨大的发展。现代自然科学发展的新特征,也在现代西方各哲学流派中得到不同程度的反映。

Modern western philosophy is the continuation and development of traditional western philosophy.Classical philosophies,which includes Greek philosophy,scholastic philosophy in Middle Ages,rationalism and empiricism during the 17th and 18th century,German classical philosophy and so on,all had great influence on different schools of modern western philosophy.Western capitalist countries have made great progress in both natural science and technological science since the mid-nineteenth century.Meanwhile,new developing characteristics of modern natural science are reflected in different degree from each schools of modern western philosophy.
