摘要
赫尔曼.沃克的《战争风云》与《战争与回忆》是 70 年代风靡美国的名著。在这两本姊妹篇小说中作者运用象征手法,使小说的标题具有象征意义,传达出二战中犹太人和整个人类的苦难、反法西斯战争的正义性和人类追求美好爱情的普遍象征意义。
Herman Wouk's 'Winds of War' and 'War and Remembrance' were the most fashionable war fictions in the 1970s.The author's applying of symbolism in the companion novels gives the internal titles symbolic meanings,expressing the universal symbolic meanings of the misery of the Jewish people and all mankind in the Second World War,the righteousness of the Anti-Fascism War,and mankind's pursuit of beautiful love.
