南楚考——宋玉辞赋地理考之四

Research on the Geography of Songyu's Work

宋玉辞赋中有两篇提到了"南楚"一词,古今久无确注。文章通过认真的考证认为,"南楚"一词既可指在楚迁都郢陈前,以其都城郢(江陵)代指楚东扩前(即不包括东楚、西楚)的楚国全境;又可指楚迁都郢陈后,郢陈地区(西楚)以南、东楚以西、秦南郡以东的地区。所以,我们可采用"句本位"的训诂原则,将《登徒子好色赋》中的"南楚"注释为"楚考烈王时期的楚国南部地区",而将《笛赋》中的"南楚"注释为"泛称楚国故地"。

Nanchu are mentioned twice in Songyu＇s work and never explained.We find the true meaning of this term through researches.So here we note the term Nanchu in one work as the southern part of Chu Empire,and the whole country in another work.
