摘要
《红色手推车》是威廉.卡洛斯.威廉斯主要代表作之一。在诗人的创作中,他主张思想仅寓于事物之中,即用最简单的事物、最平凡的语言来洞悉社会的现实。该诗的研究多集中在意象和象征主义,但从陌生化理论角度来研究的很少,研究其悲剧色彩更少。本文通过研究该诗的结构和意象创作的陌生化来阐释《红色手推车》的悲剧色彩,指出该诗悲剧色彩的来源———边缘阶层:黑人和女性,从而对该诗的主题做出更深入的揭示。
The Red Wheelbarrow is one of William Carlos Williams' main representatives. In his works, he claims that thought only exists amid things, that is, to use the simplest things and the plainest words to discern social reality. Previous researches on this poem are mostly concentrated on imagism and symbolism, but few researchers have studied this poem from the theory of defamiliarization, not to mention the tragic color. This thesis is to demonstrate the tragic color in The Red Wheelbarrow by defamiliarizing its creation of image and its structure, that is, the stanza arrangement, rhyme and rhythm, pronunciation and grammar, and to point out the origin of the tragic color--the marginized people: the black and the feminine, which further reveals the theme of this poem.
