In this paper, formations are divided by different properties into reservoir, non-reservoir conducting formation and blocking formation; while in conventional method to identify lithologic trap distribution, they are divided into reservoir and sealing formation. The spacial distribution of the 3 kinds of formations determines the formation and distribution of lithologic trap. While the reliability of lithological trap determines the matching relationship between blocking layer interface and reservoir interface. On the basis of summarizing various identification method for lithologic traps in Songliao Basin, the two-interface identification method for lithologic trap is put forward according to the new theory for lithologic trap formation.
