摘要
牙龈卟啉单胞菌(Porphyromonas gingivalis,Pg)是目前公认的牙周致病菌,直接接种于啮齿动物(rodents)会诱发动物感染。应用不同的啮齿动物模型,可模拟Pg所致牙周炎的各个病程阶段,如细菌的定植和增殖;细菌入侵;宿主免疫和炎症反应;以及牙周支持组织的破坏及修复等过程,因而啮齿动物模型被广泛地应用于验证病因假设以及鉴定Pg毒力特性和宿主的反应等研究。这方面的研究始于20世纪60年代,经过半个世纪的发展,啮齿动物模型在Pg病原特性的研究中的应用日趋多样化。该文就啮齿动物模型在Pg研究中的应用现状作一综述。
Porphyromonas gingivalis(P.gingivalis) is one of the principal pathogens in the development of chronic periodontitis.Periodontitis can be viewed as a process that involves four major stages:bacterial colonization,invasion,induction of a destructive host response in connective tissue and a repair process that reduces the extent of tissue breakdown.Rodents that receive P.gingivalis can result in infection,mimicking the inflammatory process in humans to the greatest possible extent.The early use of rodent models to investigate P.gingivalis-mediated periodontal infections was in 1960's.Currently,rodent models are widely used for studying the pathogenesis of P.gingivalis-mediated periodontal diseases.This article reviews the rodent models that have been used to study the virulence of P.gingivalis and host-P.gingivalis interactions.
