The article concentrates on the discussion of major factors influencing broadsiding in the process of wide and heavy plate rolling as well as the correlation between broadsiding and the width of rolling piece, compiles the plate width variation data collected from the site, summarizes the changing nile of the length of deformed zone and the plate width, proposes the control method of plate width in the process of wide and heavy plate rolling.
