Languages ultimately serve for realities. In the actual policing translation work, having a good understanding towards American drug-relatde argot＇s characteristics and cultural background, and concretely mastering the inherent laws of English-Chinese （E- C） translation, not only has practical meaning for the cause of international drug-control cooperation, but also does what little one can to help in the academic study of E-C translation.
