To commemorate the 86th birth anniversary of the late Professor Bai Jin-kai,his scientific achievements in the fields of mycology and plant pathology are outlined,and his strict and innovative learning spirits and noble virtues as the author＇s mentor are also discussed.Mr.Bai＇s academic achievements are splendid and shining as his life.He brought up many prospective mycologists and plant pathologists for China.The great spiritual and academic wealth he has left to offspring will inspire the young generation to commit to agricultural education and research career for ever.
