On Wang Shipeng's Feelings for Kuizhou as Poetry City

南宋乾道元年(1165)王十朋知夔州,勤政爱民,兴利除弊,深受民众爱戴。在夔期间作诗315首,表现了他对夔州的深厚情感,讴歌了夔州的山川人文,反映了他治理夔州的一系列德政;表达了对诸葛亮、杜甫等历史文化名人的仰慕之情,以及通过歌咏夔州"十贤"以建构本土诗教文化体系的愿景。王十朋不仅以自己的创作实践丰富了夔州诗的内涵,还充分调动地方行政资源,弘扬夔州诗传统,巩固夔州诗城地位,并将其官方意识形态化。可以说,夔州诗城的基础是由杜甫奠定的,而夔州诗城的传统文化建构和维护,王十朋则无愧第一功。

The Kuizhou county magistrate,Wang Shipeng in the period of Qian Yuan of Southern Song Dynasty built a diligent,caring people government in his administration,popular among people.He composed 315 poems showing his deep feelings for Kuizhou and displaying his benevolent rule,expressing his admiration for Zhuge Liang and Du Fu those historical celebrities and singing ＂ten able and virtuous persons＂ and his will of constructing poetry education cultural system.Wang Shipeng has enriched Kuizhou poetry based on his own creation and carried forward the Kuizhou poetry tradition and strengthened Kuizhou’s position as a poetry city.Du Fu lays foundation for the development of Kuizhou as a poetry city,but it is Wang Shipeng who constructs and maintains the traditional culture of Kuizhou as a poetry city.
