A Brief Discussion on the Translation between Chinese and English Idioms from the Perspective of Cultural Differences

由于东西方存在着文化差异,习语翻译成了翻译过程中最难的部分。只有深入了解习语背后的特定文化,才能恰当地翻译习语。论文分析了英汉文化差异对习语翻译的影响,介绍了一些习语翻译的策略。

Due to the cultural difference existing between the East and the West,idioms translation becomes the most difficult part of translation work.Only when we deeply immerse ourselves in the specific culture behind the idioms,can we translate the idioms appropriately.This paper analyses the influence of Chinese and English cultural difference on the idioms translation,and introduces some strategies of idioms translation.
