国内对功能文体学的介绍和评述多以M.A.K.Halliday本人的研究为基础,很少提及该理论体系的另外一个构建者R.Hasan的理论模式以及功能文体学在新时期的发展。本文在首先对功能文体学的产生背景、理论框架和后期发展等方面进行介绍,然后对功能文体学在中国的发展进行综述,最后对功能文体学今后的发展提供一些建议。

Previous reviews of and comments on functional stylistic studies by Chinese scholars were mostly based on Halliday＇ s research, paying little attention to R. Hasan＇ s theoretical model and other scholars＇ views. This paper begins with outlining the background, theoretical framework and later developments of Functional Stylistics, proceeds to present a review of functional stylistic studies in China, and ends with some suggestions for the further developments of functional stylistics.
