Chinese Anthropology Expecting Its Post-Translation Era

当前,中国人类学界的翻译态度和翻译实践存在诸多问题,导致翻译质量普遍不高。为便于总结历史,开创未来,可称此前为中国人类学的翻译时代,称此后为中国人类学的后翻译时代。中国人类学的后翻译时代要求译者具备基本的翻译道德,要求学术界开展系统的翻译批评。如此或可从根本上解决此前出现的种种问题,提高翻译质量,生产合格译本。

Serious problems in translation attitude and translation practice are troubling current Chinese anthropology and leading to a lower translation level.Two terms,i.e.,Translation era and post-translation era may be used to summarize the history,and to start the future,of Chinese anthropology.The post-translation era of Chinese anthropology presupposes that a translator should keep his translation ethics and the academic circle should encourage systematic translation criticism.Consequently a hope arises that the problems may be resolved,the translation improved and qualified versions produced.
