"Life in misery" and " Life in completeness" are the bipolar feelings expressed in the poems by Wang Wei ( 701-761) ,one of the most influential poets in Tang Dynasty. According to Buddhist phrase " One Mind and Two Gates" ," Two Gates" are two dimensions of values, though they are governed by " One Mind". Of the poems by Wang Wei,those expressed life in misery hold that Xin Sheng Mie Men ( human life is experiencing birth and death) ,and the poems have not surpassed the mind of the poet because they are based on the social morality and human relationships; and those expressed life in completeness hold that Xin Zhen Ru Men ( human beings have neither been created nor destroyed) ,and the poems have mounted to the highest peak of Confucianism, because they aim at seeking for the polar value of human life.
