摘要 目的对清光绪二十九年(1903)创刊于上海的《科学世界》之物理学和化学知识传播作全面研究,为梳理中国近代科学传播史脉络提供新线索。方法原始期刊文献调研和考证。结果《科学世界》虽仅出版17期,但为晚清仅有的几份综合性科学期刊之一。其科学可救国强国,"实无形之军队,安全之爆弹"的思想,以及对电磁学知识的传播、对化学名词术语的确定和对中国化学实验基础的奠定等均为重要的传播贡献。结论《科学世界》为20世纪初年代表中国人办刊新理念或新思想的重要科学期刊,反映了中国科学家引入西方科学研究成果后,立足本土的重要创新,大大拉近了我国物理学、化学、地学与世界前沿的距离。 Aim Through making a comprehensive research on the transmission of physics and chemistry in Scientific world founded in Shanghai in 1903,to provide new clues for sorting out the history of China′s modern scientific communication.Methods Investigation and textual research on original journals as well as literatures.Results In spite of seventeen issues,the Scientific world was one of the rare comprehensive journals of science in the late Qing Dynasty.With the idea that science is intangible armies and secure bombs,science spread by it made great efforts in saving China and the Chinese nation.This journal disseminated electromagnetic knowledge and made clarification of many terminologies and terms in chemistry.What′s more,with scientific knowledge it spread,the Scientific world made important contribution for laying the foundation of chemical experiments in China.Conclusion The Scientific world,a significant scientific periodical in the early 20th century,represented new ideals and new ideas of Chinese talents for the publication of journals.This magazine revealed the fact that,after bringing scientific achievements from the West and based on China′s national conditions of that time,Chinese scientists made significant innovations,which greatly reduced the gap between China′s physics,chemistry,geology and the world′s most advanced levels in these fields.
