摘要
以奈达的功能对等为理论框架,应用于热门电影《阿凡达》的字幕翻译,从语汇层面、语用层面、文化层面和审美层面出发,分析如何在功能对等理论观照下对语义、风格等的缺失进行翻译补偿。虽然缺损在所难免,但通过一定的补偿手段仍能达到功能对等,使接受语观者与源语观者反应相似。
Under the guidance of functional equivalence,an attempt is made to realize the compensation in subtitle translation of Avatar.Therefore,a conclusion can be drawn that though loss is inevitable,there always has a way out to compensate,thus achieving equivalence and making it possible for the audience in the receptor language to respond just like the audience in the source language.
