This paper briefly describes that it is necessary to change the computer CAD working environment from DOS to Windows NT based on the development of Auto CAD software. It also provides a detailed description of AutoCAD partial area network establishment and uses under NT environment which apply to medium & small-sized enterprises, such as netwWork requirements, network targets, network establishment principles, network structure and equipments purchase.
