翻译规范视角下林语堂翻译活动探析

On Lin Yutang's Translation:A Perspective of Translation Norm Theory

图里的翻译规范论是翻译研究学派的重要理论,为翻译研究带来了新的视角。译者从译前准备到翻译活动结束一直受到源语以及译语文化规范的制约。文章从预规范、元规范以及操作规范三个方面针对林语堂翻译活动的文本选择、文化取向以及翻译策略进行分析,提出林语堂的翻译活动受其教育背景、社会环境以及文化差异的影响。

Being the most important theory in translation studies school,Toury＇s translation norm theory brings new horizons to translation study.The translation process is controlled by the norms in the culture of both source and target text.This paper analyses the choice of translated text,cultural orientation and translation strategies in Lin Yutang＇s translation activities from the perspectives of preliminary norms,initial norms and operational norms.It argues that Lin＇s translation is influenced by his education background,social environment and cultural discrepancy.
