摘要
本文以中国英语专业学习者语料库(CEM)中的翻译子库作为研究对象,从定量和定性两个角度考察了学生对汉英翻译中冗余信息的处理,详细分析了学习者运用省译策略的情况。研究发现,英语专业学习者对于汉语中的冗余信息在汉英翻译的处理过程中未能熟练运用省译策略,其实际运用情况也不均衡。在本研究结论的基础上,文章就汉英翻译测试提出了一些思考。
Using the translation sub-corpus of Corpus for English Majors(CEM) as the research data,this paper investigates into learners' performance in dealing with redundant information in Chinese-English translation both quantitatively and qualitatively with particular emphasis on their employment of the omission strategy.The findings reveal these students' comparatively poor performance in applying omission in their translation and also indicate that their use of this strategy in different situations varies to a great extent.Then,the author discusses the design of Chinese-English translation test and the evaluation of students' performance in it based on the above findings.
