印尼棉兰华人参政浅析——以2010年棉兰市长选举为例

Analysis on the Political Participation of Oversea Chinese in Medan——A Case Study on May 2010 Medan Mayoral Election

棉兰是印尼华人较多的地区,2010年5月首次有华人参加了该市市长的选举。因为在棉兰工作,笔者有机会近距离地观察了这次选举的整个过程,并有幸与参选华人陈金扬医生进行了直接交谈,也从当地华社了解了许多有关选举的情况。笔者就此将棉兰华人在竞选中的利弊得失及个人感受整理成文,以期对以后印尼华人参政者有所帮助和启发。再者,探讨棉兰华人的参政问题,不仅有助于了解棉兰华人的政治生活状况及其与当地其他民族的关系,也可通过对棉兰的个案分析,以点带面,对整个印尼华人的政治参与意识和参政情况有一个更加清楚的认识。

As a relatively gathered area of Oversea Chinese in Indonesia,Medan held mayoral election in May this year,and for the first time there was Chinese candidate running for mayor of the city.In the work for nearly a year there,the author had the opportunity to close watch this election process and directly talked with Dortor Sofyan Tan,and also collected some important information from the local Chinese community.With the author＇s life experience,this article focuses on the advantages and disadvantages of Medan oversea Chinese in this election,hoped to be helpful and inspirational for overseas Chinese in Indonesia to participate in politics.Moreover,through this discussion,it will contribute to understanding their political and social conditions and their relationship with other local ethnic groups.Besides,by the individual case and analysis of Medan,we＇ll have a clearer understanding of the consciousness of political participation and political situation of the Indonesian Chinese.
