An Analysis on the Difference between Spanish and Portuguese——Focus on the Phonetics and Lexicon Comparison

葡萄牙语和西班牙语同属罗马语系(或拉丁语系),它们的相同之处多于差异。在数百年发展演变过程中,葡萄牙语比较坚守传统,西班牙语倾向大胆改革,各自鲜明的语言特点逐渐形成。从社会文化语言学的角度浅论葡萄牙语与西班牙语差异形成的历史,并就两种语言在语音和词汇方面的一些差异特点进行比较分析。

Portuguese and Spanish both belong to Romance languages （or Latin language family）, there are more similarities than differences between them. During its hundreds years of evolution, Portuguese sticks to its language tradition, while Spanish tends to reform boldly, as a result, the distinctive features of the two languages take shape gradually. This paper attempts to present, from the perspective of social cultural linguistics, a general view on the history of how the differences between Portuguese and Spanish come into being, and make a comparison from the phonetic and lexical angle.
