The female Chineses-American characters in The Joy Luck Club written by Amy Tan,no matter the mothers immigrated from China to America or the daughters born in America, have been double-marginalized by Chinese culture as well as American culture. They live between the two cultures and bear an embarrassed double-Other identity. This thesis analyzed the identities of theses Chineses-American females from the perspective of post-colonial feminist and tries to prove that these Chineses-American females tried a lot to seek and construct their cultural identities.
