跨文化交际中语用失误原因初探——兼论母语负迁移

A Study of Causes of Pragmatic Failure in the Course of Cross-cultural Communication——Also on Negative Transfer of Mother Tongue

语用失误是跨文化交际中的常见现象。造成跨文化交际中语用失误的原因有很多,其中说话人母语的迁移是造成交际中语用失误的一大因素。本文主要从语用学的角度出发,通过列举大量语用失误的实例,分析了母语文化负迁移造成的跨文化交际中两种类型的语用失误。期望外语学习者能对交际中的语用失误更敏感,从而避免不必要的失误和误解,提高其跨文化交际水平和英语使用能力。

Pragmatic failure is a common phenomenon in the course of cross-cultural communication.There are numerous causes for such failures,and the negative transfer of the communicators＇ mother tongue is one of the main causes.This paper,from perspective of pragmatics,discusses two types of pragmatic failures caused by the negative transfer of mother tongue through analyzing some cases of pragmatic failure in cross-cultural communication.It aims to remind foreign language learners to be more sensitive to pragmatic failure and avoid unnecessary inappropriateness and misunderstanding so as to develop their communicative competence and abilities to use English language.
