The clinical application of fast FLAIR technique in MRI of the brain

摘要 目的:探讨快速液体衰减反转恢复序列(fluidatenuatedinversionrecovery,FLAIR)在脑部疾病中的应用价值。方法:对39例脑部疾病患者同时行常规MRT2加权像及快速FLAIR检查,比较两种序列对病灶的显示情况。结果:FLAIR共检出病灶310个,常规T2加权像检出237个,FLAIR显示病灶的轮廓更为清晰,病灶与正常脑组织的对比度更高,在显示脑组织深部皮层下、脑室旁病灶方面更有优势,可显示常规MRT2加权像未能显示的侧裂池及脑表面脑沟的小出血病灶。结论:快速FLAIR可作为颅脑MR检查常规序列的补充,有助于提高病变的检出率,减少漏诊。 Purpose:To study the value of clinical application of fast FLAIR (fluid attenuated inversion recovery) in cerebral disease.Methods:39 patients were studied with MR T 2WI and FLAIR simutaneously.The mode of presentation of the lesions were compared.Results:310 lesions were displayed with FLAIR and 237 with T 2WI.The contours of the lesions were clearer in FLAIR than that showed in T 2WI.The contrast of lesion to normal and lesion to CSF (cerebrospinal fluid) were higher in FLAIR,which is particular of superiority to demonstrate lesions in the white matter or paraventricular area. Small hemorrhagic foci in Sylvian fissure and the cerebral sulci can be shown in FLAIR.Conclusion:As a complementary technique to conventional MR imaging, FLAIR is useful to improve the detection of the lesions.
