89.51°~117. Objective To establish the normal values of the acetabular sector angles. Methods CT scanning of hip joints was done in 120 patients who had abdominal or pelvic CT examinations. From them, 100 cases with completely normal Xray and CT manifestations of both hip joints were chosen as the candidates for this statistical analysis.Mean value plus and minus 1.96 SD(Standard deviation) in the central slice (equatorial plane ) of femoral head was defined as normal value. Results On equatorial plane, the range, mean value and SD of anterior acetabular sector angle( AASA ) were 59.00-83.00, 72. 56 and 5.61in male adults and 53.00-92.00, 70.45 and 7. 79 in female adults whereas those of posterior acetabular sector angle(PASA) were 84.00-116.00, 100.62 and 5.76 in man and 87.00-120.00, 103.66 and 7. 22 in wome, respectively. Conclusions Normal value limitation of AASA and PASA is 61.56-83.56 and 89.33-111.91 in Chinese male adults and 55.18-85.72 and 89.51-117.81 in Chinese female adults.
