《京华烟云》译著主要误译评述

Major Mistranslations in Zhang Zhenyu’s Version of Moment in Peking

林语堂的长篇小说Moment in Peking有多个中文译本,其中最普及的当属台湾张振玉翻译的《京华烟云》。总体上来说,《京华烟云》是一个很好的译本,受到专家、学者、读者的追捧。但是通过对比阅读《京华烟云》原著及张振玉版译作,发现在张译本中存在不少误译。本文从粗心大意的误译,用词不准确,理解错误等方面来分析这些误译,并试着提出改进意见。

There are many Chinese versions of Li Yutang＇s long novel Moment in Peking, among which Zhang Zhenyu＇s is the most popular one. As a whole, Zhang＇s is a good version, appreciated by scholars and common readers. But when the translated version and the original novel are compared, many translation mistakes are found in Zhang＇s translation. The mistakes are categorized into three types in this paper： careless mistakes, inexact wording and mistranslated sentences. The mistranslations are analyzed and improved versions are proposed by the writer.
