摘要
本研究以中国英语学习者为例探讨二语名词规则形式与不规则形式的大脑表征。实验表明:学习者区分规则名词形式与不规则名词形式;规则名词形式不具有词频效应和音系相似性效应,而不规则名词形式既表现出词频效应又表现出音系相似性效应;学习者学习时间长短只对真实不规则名词形式产生影响。由此推断,名词规则形式和不规则形式在二语学习者的大脑中通过两个途径得到表征和处理,这一结论与双重机制理论的看法一致。
This paper aims to investigate the mental representation of regular and irregular nouns in second language through an experiment on Chinese learners of English.Results show that the learners distinguish regular nouns from irregular nouns,and neither frequency effect nor phonological similarity effect is found on regular nouns,but both effects are found on irregular nouns.Moreover,the learners' exposure to English has an effect only on real irregular nouns.Thus,regular and irregular nouns are represented and processed in two different routes in second language.The results are thus consistent with the Dual-mechanism theories.
