渝中区乃重庆"母城",历史积淀深厚,属文物大区,应按照胡锦涛关于重庆城市建设的要求,坚持保护为主、抢救第一,统筹规划、突出重点诸原则,扎实推进文物保护基础工作,倾力打造颇具影响力的历史文化街区,建成重庆最大、最有特色的博物馆群,争取地下考古有新的突破,把宝贵的文物资源转化为产业优势,把渝中区建成重庆"记忆之城"历史文化展示区。

Yuzhong District is the ＂mother city＂ of Chongqing and a great district of historical relics. It should be in accordance to President Hu Jintao about Chongqing city construction,insisting protection is the main task and rescue the first,etc. Making a solid progress in the basic work of historical relics protection. building some influential historical and cultural districts as well as the largest and most distinctive museum group,making efforts for a new breakthrough in underground archaeological and transforming valuable resources of the historical relics into advantages for the industry are the outions to construct the historical and cultural display area for the ＂Memory City ＂ of Chongqing.
