生态理性是现代人在认识、完善自身与自然界的过程中形成的,规范、约束和指导其实践活动的自觉意识,表现为对人类生存终极意义的真切眷注。这是一种追求全球系统安全的理性,其核心是人与自然的和谐发展。生态理性作为自觉的理性与人和自然关系理性的和解,有望把自然和人自身从逆反的文化模式的统摄与服膺中解救出来。这不仅要求重新建构外部自然生态平衡,更重要的是重新建构人类社会的文化精神生态或精神生态的协调与平衡,实现对人类文化理性与生产、生活方式的重新塑型。
