摘要
晚清民初都市通俗小说作者从"朝圣者"向"经济人"的身份转变,为中国小说现代性的生长找到了另一路径,但因囿于中国市民伦理形成中个性觉醒环节的缺失,彼时通俗作家们的文与行之间产生了悖谬,他们中不少人直接打起"伦理小说"的旗号,以图恢复旧道德来改变他们自己亲手参与缔造的新世风。清末民初伦理小说对"孝""忠""义""节"的大肆张扬,凸显新市民代言人由"士"向"市"的身份转变在城市现代转型中的尴尬。
The double-face in civil ethics in Chinese modern times,which means the advance guard in economic ethics and the sluggish attitude in individual ethics and household ethics,has directly influenced on the flourish of metropolis popular story in the end of Qing Dynasty.Li Bo-yuan and Wu Jian-ren indicated a momentous ethical event that the authors of modern metropolis popular story had already changed their figures from "pilgrim" named by Weber to "economic man".But blinded by the shortage for individual disillusion in establishing the civil ethics,most of them flaunted the banner of "ethical novel" and boosted filial piety in order to renew the feudal moral to change the new public morals they established themselves.
