Japanese is regarded as a language with gender inequality. Languages reflect society, and therefore, the consciousness of gender inequality is inevitably reflected in languages. Based on some related social linguistics theories and centered on the Japanese spouses' address terms, this paper combines the address terms with gender and proves that there exists gender inequality in Japanese spouses' address terms, through which it reveals the Japanese traditional family ideology and the identity and position of women in family and society.
