Translation Studies and Its Implicatures for ESL Teaching——Based on the Think Aloud Protocols Experiment on Translation from English into Chinese

摘要 为了研究有经验的译者和无经验的译者在英译汉时的翻译行为和翻译策略的差异,文章根据研究目的确定了相应的翻译任务,据此以太原科技大学的12名翻译者作为实验对象进行有声思维的实验,并对实验结果和内容进行对比和分析。实验表明:6名有经验的译者和6名无经验的译者在英译汉时的翻译行为和翻译策略的异同主要体现在几方面:长难句翻译,有无语法分析,复读,一词多性和一词多义的翻译以及背景文化知识等。最后分析了本实验中暴露出的有声思维法本身的缺陷。 To find out the differences of translating behaviors and translating strategies between experienced translators and inexperienced translators, Think-Aloud Protocols experiment was carried out in Taiyuan University of Science and Technology among 12 translators, of which 6 are experienced teacher translators, the other 6 are inexperienced student translators. The experiment shows that the differences of translating behaviors and translating strategies between experienced translators and inex- perienced translators include: the translation of long and difficult sentences, whether grammatical analysis is involved or not, repeated reading, the translation of those words which has different word classes and word meanings, background knowledge, etc. In addition, the limits of the Think-Aloud Protocols are discussed.
