摘要
语境对语义有制约作用。词语之间、词语与社会文化语境之间形成了相互呼应、相互影响和相互限定的制约关系。要正确地进行语义认知,就须考虑语境所触发的认知框架,通过意象图式对语义进行引申性发挥。在翻译过程中,应在把握主题倾向性的前提下,对关联性社会文化语境做出准确地判断,并在语境制约下达到对语义的跨文化间对应和有效的传递。
The meaning of a word is always conditioned by its context. Coordination and conditioning function between words themselves and their social and cultural contexts. To undertake a correct semantic cognition involves activa!ing the readerff cognitive framework and making proper extensions in meaning via their image schema. In translation, the translator ought to havea correct understanding of the thematicin- clination of a text and make a reasonable judgment oi1 the relevant socio-cultural context. In this way, aequivalent and effective intercuhural semamic transfer under the contextual conditioning can be made possible.
