摘要
从语言、文化的差异及观众效应,即观众的期待视野、审美情趣和接受能力等多角度探讨电影片名翻译中的归化与异化问题。论述了翻译电影片名中的四个原则,即信息原则、文化原则、审美原则及获利原则,并辅以大量例证,展示了中西片名翻译的可行之道并提供了"宏观结构"、"剧情要素"等可供具体操作的片名翻译技巧。
The paper discusses domestication and alienation in film title translation from such perspectives as language,cultural differences,audience effect(the audience’s horizon of expectation),aesthetic taste and acceptance.It offers a feasible way for film title translation by expounding skills like "macro-structure"and "story elements"and illustrating four principles in translating film titles,namely,information value,cultural value,aesthetic value,and commercial value.
