绒类丝织物是中国丝绸的一个重要品种,也是民国时期一个应用广泛的品种。民国年间,随着新原料的采用和织机的改进,大量新型绒织物被开发出来,而传统绒织物因为生产效率低又不合时尚,在新品种的冲击下生产不断萎缩。

Velvet silk fabric is an important category in China silk.During the Republic of China（1912-1949）,it was a very fashionable fabric.Because of the application of new materials and improvement of looms,plenty of new kinds of velvet had been manufactured.For the shock of new products,the traditional velvet lost the market continuously.
