摘要
论述信息化在知识经济中的重要作用，概述信息技术在制造业和商业中的应用和发展。
Informatization plays an important role in knowledge economy. A review about the application and trends of information technology in manufacturing and commerce was made in this paper. The author also gave a simple description about the education and research in these areas at Guangdong University of Technology.
