古田会议是中国共产党历史上具有重大意义的一次会议,是马克思主义中国化的重要成果。在新民主主义革命时期,古田会议精神不但帮助中国工农红军克服了各种非无产阶级思想,解决了以农民为主要成份的旧军队转变成为中国共产党领导的无产阶级新型革命军队的这个根本性问题,而且规定了红军的性质、宗旨和任务,确立了党对红军绝对领导的基本原则。在社会主义建设时期,尽管中国人民解放军面临的环境、任务和军队的成分发生了重大变化,但作为中国共产党和人民军队优良传统和革命法宝的古田会议精神,始终成为中国人民解放军建设的指导思想和基本原则,并保证了新形势下人民军队坚定正确的政治方向。

Gutian Congress is a significant meeting in the history of Communist Party of China and a great achievement of Marxism in China.In the New-democratic Revolution age,Gutian Congress spirits helped China Workers and Peasant＇s Red Army overcome non-proletariat thoughts,solve the fundamental problem of its transformation from peasant-based old army into proletariat-based new revolutionary army led by CPC,and also stated the Red Army＇s nature,purposes and tasks,established the principle of the Party＇s absolute leadership over the Army.In the Socialist Construction age,though the PLA has new circumstances,tasks and army compositions,Gutian Congress spirits continue functioning as guidelines and basic principles for the PLA development,ensuring that the PLA has firm and correct political orientations in the new age.
