Synthesis and charaterization of porphyrin-bipyridine dimer

摘要 绿色植物的光合作用是自然界效率最高的光能转化过程,人工模拟光合作用是实现太阳能利用的最理想的方法,是近年来学者们研究的热点。光合作用的反应中心包括PSI(Photosystem I)和PSII(Photosystem Ⅱ)。其中PSⅡ是物质还原过程, Porphyin-bipyridine dimer was synthesized from 5-(p-hydroxylphenyl)-10,15,20-trinaphthylporphyrin and 4-methyl4'-brominomethyl-2,2'-bipyridine and the structure was confirmed with 1H NMR and MS spectroscopy.Results of electrochemical measurements and the calculation showed that LUMOs of porphyrin and dipyridine groups were 3.22 and 3.36 eV respectively in the dimer.Further in comparison to the porphyrin the absorption spectral peaks of the dimer shifted to higher wavelength and the fluorescence intensity of the dimer reduced,indicating the photoinduced electron transfered from the porphyrin part to the bipyridien part.
