The severe deficiency of humanistic qualities among college students is illustrated.It is considered very urgent to strengthen their humanistic qualities,improve their integrative qualities and construct harmonious campus culture from all aspects.Creative ideas and strategies are proposed and discussed to improve students＇ humanistic qualities through foreign language teaching.It is suggested to cultivate the sense of native language culture,create climate of reading,make advantage of teachers＇ mature mind and psychology,explore emotional sources in teaching materials,hold humanity forum and improve aesthetic taste.
