Translation Strategies on Culturally-loaded Words in the English Version of Tea House

不同的民族有着不同的文化,这一切都会在语言中反映出来,因此汉英翻译时,对于文化负载词的处理,应给予足够的重视。在翻译实践中,一般会用直译法或意译法来进行转换。对译文中的意译法或者直译法的孰优孰劣不可简单做出评价,而要综合各种因素来考虑。

Different nations have different cultures,which all can be found in their languages.Therefore,due attention needs to be paid to the translation strategies.In translation,literal translation and free translation are both employed for their different functions.However,it is hazardous to make a simple judgment about both strategies,without taking all the elements into consideration.
