翻译的功能对等理论由美国著名翻译理论家尤金.奈达提出,主张用通俗易懂的语言再现原文的信息,注重情感的移植,关注读者的反应。文章首先介绍功能对等的基本内容,然后结合影视翻译的特征阐释功能对等在影视翻译的应用,最后指出功能对等应成为影视翻译的实践指导原则。

The functional equivalence,put forward by Eugene.Nida,an American translation theorist,aims at producing a translation which is the closest natural equivalent to the original message.And it is mainly featured by representation of original message,transplantation of feelings and the readers＇ response.This paper first introduces the general ideal of functional equivalence,then explicates the application of functional equivalence to film translation and then points out that functional equivalence should be the guide for film translation practice
