In light of specialty risks existing in planning and construction of current urban residential areas, with the planning and design of Shenzhen ＂Wankediwuyuan＂ residential community as an example, this article explores modern application of traditional factors in current urban residential planning and construction, and relevant issues of residential area planning and design as well, so as to guide urban residential area planning and design, and to better inherit and absorb traditional Chinese residential specialties.
