The inscription on the Da Yuan Suzhou Lu Yeke Daluhuachi Shixi Zhi Bei set up in 1361 is an valuable resource in the studies about the Tanguts of the Yuan Dynasty.In the section of the inscription written in Uighur language,the meaning of a term about the title of the Yuan Emperor,talayning rkligi qaγan qan,is not clear and the context of the term needs an intensive study.This paper discusses the definite meaning of it and explores the historical background in which the title was formed and prevailed.
