Eastern and Western Nationalism in the Perspective of the World History

东西方民族主义及其相互间关系的复杂性问题是"全球化的民族问题系"的一个重要构成部分。从科学的世界历史理论的角度看,正确把握东西方民族主义及其相互关系的复杂性至少应注意这样几个方面的方法论问题:拒斥"文化决定论",确认东西方民族主义间的文化差异根植于特定的世界历史性的经济、政治和社会交往中;近代意义上的东方民族主义产生的文化总体背景虽是近代西方文化上对东方文化的冲击,但对这种冲击要作具体的历史的分析;科学认识东西方民族主义在文化上碰撞的形式和内容的历史性;正确把握东西方民族主义各自内部的差异。

Eastern and Western Nationalism and the complexity of their relationships between them is an important integrant of ＂global national problem system＂. Form the perspective of scientific theory of world history , at lest we should pay attentions to the following questions of methodology in order to correctly understand Eastern and Western nationalism and the complexity of their relationships between them：rejecting ＂cultural determinism＂, confirming the point that the cultural difference between Eastern and Western nationalism is rooted in the certain world historical economy, politics and social intercourses; making explicit and historic analysis of culture shock, although the total cultural background of the origin of modern eastern nationalism is the culture shock of Western modern culture to Eastern culture; scientifically understanding the historicalness of form and content of culture collision between Eastern and Western nationalism; correctly grasping each inner difference in the inside of Eastern and Western nationalism.
